Hexima has an active product pipeline through which it is developing other technologies including cyclotide technology which was acquired from La Trobe University and is jointly owned with The University of Queensland. Cyclotides are natural circular proteins which have insecticidal activity. They occur in plants from several diferent families. The cyclotides may also have other potential agricultural and veterinary applications.

Hexima is well placed to access additional technological opportunities. Hexima is often approached by scientists from Australian universities and research institutions with discoveries and ideas which may have commercial potential. Hexima evaluates these opportunities, with a view to acquiring, developing and commercialising appropriate technologies.
